An Interview with CIA Graduate Grant Achatz ’94

Grant Achatz, who graduated in 1994, returned to his alma mater to speak to CIA students and share the incredible and inspiring story of his 2007 battle with tongue cancer as chronicled in his book Life, on the Line. The question and answer format were moderated by journalist and fellow CIA alumnus Francis Lam ’03.

Achatz’s Alinea in Chicago was named the Best Restaurant in America and 6th Best in the World for 2011 by London’s Restaurant magazine.
